A small group of us decided to hang an exhibition at My Gallery in Dover. The fee was £40 between five of us, so relatively cheap and for me, this gave me the opportunity to play with the way I hang my images.
We decided to keep this fairly low key, no publishing or private view due to location and cost. However, we had advertised online as this was at no additional cost and web presence can be extremely beneficial.
For me, this exhibition was a way that I could play with size and orientation when hanging work, instead of the conventional way of side by side as I have chose previously. Also, it is a good way of learning how to work with others and curate exhibitions outside of university and so that at this very early stage in my career, any added exhibitions can be added to my CV or website.
